Addition of solareye on cycle paths and walkways in The Netherlands. The Dutch own more bicycles per capita than any other country in the world.  On average a Dutch person cycles 1000 kilometres per year  –  in about 250 – 300 cycle trips. Local Governments throughout The Netherlands have been investing significantly in upgrading and building new cycle paths and walkways.

All twelve provinces of The Netherlands are actively encouraging cyclists and walkers to exercise and commute to work and school  –  the Dutch

own more bicycles per capita than any other country in the world.  On average a Dutch person cycles 1000 kilometres per year  –  in about 250 – 300 cycle trips.

The challenge is to make the walking / cycle routes safe, particularly in the early mornings before dawn and the dark early evenings of winter.
